Auto Accident Cases

Take the time to understand what you should do if you are ever involved in an auto accident.

What shoud I do if I am involved in an automobile accident?

Stay calm, move out of harm's way and make a police report at the accident location. Call an ambulance if necessary. Gather names, addresses, phone numbers, insurance information for all parties involved in the accident, and secure witness information (names, address and numbers). Also, if possible, you should photograph the accident location. DO NOT discuss the accident with anyone other than the police and medical attendants. Then contact our firm to discuss your legal rights.

Should I speak to my insurance company or an investigator about the accident?

NO, not without your attorney's involvement. Your conversation may be recorded and your statements may be used against you in Court. Also, the insurance company for the opposing party may attempt to have you accept a quick settlement. Do not fall for this ploy as you will be offered less than what you rightfully deserve.

What if I am injured?

You should immediately go to the emergency room and follow up with the proper health care professionals.

How long will it take to resolve my claim?

Many cases settle without going to trial and some are resolved in less than 1 year. Other cases, depending on the severity of the injuries, length of medical treatment, disputed facts and position of the opposing party, can take years to be resolved and may eventually go to trial. All accident case consultations are free.
